The Registry & Records staff provide information on Commission procedures, accept document lodgements, process those documents, and maintain the records of the Commission and the Department.
Applications may also be made and documents may be lodged by either fax or electronically via the Commission's website www.wairc.wa.gov.au.
In addition, the Registry maintains the Commission's records and court record services for both the Commission and Industrial Magistrate's Court. See below for information on purchasing copies of transcript and other file extracts.
The procedures of the Commission are governed by the Industrial Relations Act 1979 and the Industrial Relations Commission Regulations 2005. Registry staff can provide procedural advice but are not able to provide advice on the merits of an application. Parties should seek independent advice where that advice is needed from their Union, Employer organisation, an Industrial Advocate or Lawyer.
Copies of application forms are available to download.
If you are developing or intending to lodge an industrial agreement, you may find the Industrial Agreement Checklist of assistance.
