The Commission is required before 1 July of each year to set the minimum wage to apply to employers and employees covered by the WA industrial relations system. Submissions from interested parties have now closed and a five-member Commission in Court Session will sit on 19-22 and 26 May 2009 to hear oral submissions from the Trades and Labor Council, Minister for Commerce, Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA (Inc) and Australian Mines and Metals Association (Inc).
