The applicant, who was employed as a receptionist, alleged she was unfairly dismissed by the Al-Hidayah Islamic School. A conciliation conference was conducted but there was no resolution of the matter. The matter then went to hearing and the School argued that the Commission did not have jurisdiction to hear the application, and the Commission ultimately found that it did not have jurisdiction and dismissed the application.
