Approved Award Summaries

An Employer is required to provide specific information to an employee as part of the Employer Employee Agreement (EEA) making process (Section 97 UG of the Industrial Relations Act 1979).

The required information includes:

  • copy of the award that would extend to the employee if the EEA does not take effect OR
  • a summary of the award which has been approved by the Registrar of the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission.

The Registrar has approved a number of award summaries prepared by the Department of Consumer & Employment Protection (DOCEP).

The approved award summaries are available at the Department of Commerce website.
