WHEREAS on 18 December 2023, a Direction issued in respect this matter ([2023] WAIRC 00970);

AND WHEREAS on 15 February 2024, counsel for the second applicant sought for direction 1 of [2023] WAIRC 00970 to be extended by consent of the parties;

AND WHEREAS no objection has been received from the first applicant in relation to the request;

AND WHEREAS the Commission has considered the request;

NOW THEREFORE, the Commission, pursuant to the powers conferred under the Industrial Relations Act 1979 (WA), and by consent, hereby directs –

THAT the Western Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union of Employees is granted leave to submit a statement that summarises its position and the nature of the relief sought by it within 24 hours of the date of this Direction. The statement may be submitted to the Senior Commissioner’s Chambers, and will stand as its position in substitution for Part 3 of the Form 1 – General Application filed on 4 December 2023.
