HAVING heard from Mr Z Doherty of counsel on behalf of the first applicant, Mr K Trainer and Ms A Ballantyne on behalf of the second applicant, Ms S Lyon on behalf of 14 respondents and Mr M FitzGerald on behalf of 9 respondents, the Commission, pursuant to the powers conferred on it under the Industrial Relations Act 1979 (WA), hereby directs –

1. THAT pursuant to ss 6(b), 32 and 32A of the Industrial Relations Act 1979 (WA), the Commission schedule a conciliation conference between the parties presided over by the Commission.

2. THAT the conciliation conference referred to in direction1 be convened no later than 19 April 2024 subject to the availability of the Commission.

3. THAT the parties have liberty to apply at short notice.
