Summons by the Registrar

The Registrar of the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission may be required, at the direction of the Commission, to issue a summons under section 73 or section 84A of the Industrial Relations Act 1979 (WA) for the Secretary of a registered organisation or a nominated person to:

  • appear before the Commission in Court Session at a set time and date to show cause why the registration of the organisation should not be cancelled or suspended under section 73 of the Industrial Relations Act 1979 (WA); or
  • appear before the Full Bench at a set time and date to answer an application for enforcement of an Act, direction, order or declaration under section 84A of the Industrial Relations Act 1979 (WA).

The approved form for this summons is Form 19 – Summons issued by the Registrar under section 73 or section 84A of the Industrial Relations Act 1979.
