HAVING heard Mr T Daly on behalf of the applicant and there being no appearance on behalf of the respondents, the Commission, pursuant to the powers conferred under the Industrial Relations Act, 1979, hereby orders:

THAT the Horticultural (Nursery) Industry Award No 30 of 1980 be varied in accordance with the following Schedule and that such variation shall have effect from the beginning of the first pay period commencing on or after 13 December 2006.

SCHEDULE


1. Clause 5. - Wages: Delete subclause (4) of this clause and insert the following in lieu thereof:

(4) Full Time Apprentices

Full Time Apprentices shall be paid the following percentage of the Horticultural Tradesperson Grade 1 rate: (Rates for adult apprentices cannot be less than the rates set out in subclause (5) Minimum Adult Award Wage paragraph (i) of this Clause).
